DMA 219 final, collaborative assignment with Yanli Truong and Nick Philpot.
I took on the executive's office. We workshopped the executive office quite a bit, we wanted there to be a stark difference between the offices. We knew that we wanted the office to be the warmer of the two environments and narrowed in on a lived in but well lit office space, but we had a harder time figuring out how to differentiate the executive office beyond a singular desk and fancier items. Ultimately we began moving towards a more exaggerated approach and worrying less about how realistic the exec office was. Nick had the idea of a singe spotlight or shaft of light that would illuminate the desk while leaving the surrounding in darkness and to keep the exec office bereft of detail aside from the exec desk to create as hostile an environment as possible.
